I’m Shannon Whealy, the owner and graphic artist behind Turnaround Design.

I’m passionate about creating powerful brand identities for small businesses and entrepreneurs. That’s why I’ve been doing it for 15 years.

I know first-hand what it’s like to wrestle with how many entrepreneurial duties you want to handle yourself. That’s why I offer design options for DIY-ers as well as complete website development.

I’ve been an artist and entrepreneur for as long as I can remember.

As a kid, I was drawing, painting and redecorating my room. I sold my crafts at garage sales. I organized the neighborhood carnival. I plotted and planned my future business.

After earning a Journalism Advertising degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I worked at print shops, an ad agency and a manufacturing company. After a few years of valuable experience, I found myself craving more creativity, more flexibility and more satisfaction.creativity, more flexibility and more

In 1996, Turnaround Design was born.

My two kids were born along the way, too. And though I have worked more or less, depending on their needs, Turnaround Design has always been my “third baby.”

Every day I’m grateful to use the creative skills I’ve been honing since childhood.

I live a busy work/family life in the upper midwest with my husband, our 8 and 10 year old boys, and our little rescue dog, Annie. When I’m not designing or running the kids around, I’m running on a treadmill ~ the essential piece of equipment, other than my Mac ~ that keeps me sane through our cold Minnesota winters!
